CoderPad has two platforms to choose from, Screen and Interview. We’ll spend most of our time comparing the Screen platform against Woven.
The Interview platform is a pair programming tool, which many customers use or opt for this free version
CoderPad’s Screen is narrowly focused on languages vs skills. You can select from a variety of code quizzes to get automated scoring or upload your own take-home project.
The out of the box code quizzes may be good for early career developers, but experienced engineers will balk at them and they won’t tell you who is great (maybe only who is really bad).
If you choose to upload your take-home you are tasked with scoring and figuring out how to interpret the results. This eliminates the benefit of saved time.
With Woven you get:
✅ Senior-level, real-world scenarios like Github Pull Request Review, systems design, and programming within an existing codebase
âś… Human-powered analysis and proctoring by Certified Woven Engineers
âś… A great candidate experience including time-boxed scenarios and feedback for every candidate
